1) Did you know Surah 4:157 says, "That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah.;- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-" However, In Surah 19:33 Jesus said, "So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)"! See verses 27-34. Question: Didn't Jesus say here that he would die and be resurrected?
2) Did you know Surah 5:46 says, "And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light, and confirmation of the Law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah." Surah 5:47a says, "Let the people of the Gospel judge by what Allah hath revealed therein." Question: According to this can't people of the Gospel judge the trustworthiness of the Qoran by the Law (the Torah) and the Gospel?
3) Did you know there are over 24,000 old manuscripts, that is hand written copies, of portions of the New Testament (NT) today. Over 5,000 of these old manuscripts are in Greek, the language the NT was written in. Many manuscripts are in Latin, Syriac, Aramaic, or Coptic. We could easily construct the entire New Testament from A) the many Greek manuscripts we possess or from B) the Latin, Syriac, Aramaic, and Coptic manuscripts. We could also construct all but a few verses of the entire NT from C) the writings of the Earliest Church Fathers.
4) Did you know only around 3 percent of the Greek words in the New Testament are in question. Many of these questions concern the original spelling of words, word order, etc. Some words, sentences and phrases are in question. None would change any important teaching of the New Testament. Comparing old hand written copies of the New Testament one finds they are 98% in agreement with each other.
The NT was completed around 95 AD when John wrote Revelation. R.A. Baker Ph.D. has an article on the development of the New Testament Canon. The following old Greek manuscripts contain most of the Bible or the NT: The Vatican manuscript 350 AD= Bible. Codex Sinaiticus 350 AD= NT. Codex Alexandrinus 425 AD= Bible. Manuscript of Ephraem 450 AD= NT. Geddes MacGregor lists over 50 important Bible manuscripts in his book "The Bible in the Making." While hardly any hand written copies are from the 2nd century over 25 are dated from the 3rd century (200's). Bruce Metzger lists over 30 NT manuscripts that are complete and without gaps in "Manuscripts of the Greek Bible : an introduction to Greek Palaeography." There are more surviving manuscripts of the NT than there are of any other piece of ancient literature.
5) The oldest surviving manuscripts of most of the ancient Greek authors are dated at least 500 years or more after the author's original work.Scholars believe that in essence we have the original works of the ancient Greek authors, so why wouldn't one believe we have copies of the writings of the New Testament authors?
6) Like many people today, the writers of the New Testament were multilingual and could easily converse back in forth in Aramaic, Greek, and Hebrew.
7) Did you know the God of the Bible says He loves you? "For God so loved the world, He gave his only begotten (unique) son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16. John 1:29 says, The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. 1st John 1:7 says, "...the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." Jesus says if we love and obey him, his Father will love us and they will come in live with us. John 14:23. In John 14:6 Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." The death of Jesus himself (not someone who was made to appear like him, Quran 4:157), and his physical resurrection was foretold many times before it happened, in both the Old and New Testament.
8) Did you know Jesus is called or referred to as the son of God over 40 times in the New Testament? You can go to www.blueletterbible.org and type in "son of god" without the quotes and quickly read every place the phase son of God appears in the Bible. After that you might also want to just type in the words god and son. Quran 5:47 says to let the people of the Gospel judge by what is therein. So the people of the Gospel or Christians should judge the Quran by what is in the Bible.
Click here to learn more about why Jesus is called or referred to as the son of God. Christians believe Jesus is God, the second person of the Godhead. They do not believe Allah is the third of three. Quran 5:73. (They believe God the Father is the first, or incharge person in the Godhead). Philippians 2:11. John 14:28. John 5:18. 1st Corinthians 15:27-28. They also do not believe Jesus and his mother Mary are both gods. Quran 5:116. They believe in the one (echod) God there are three eternal persons, the Father, the Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit. David Wood has a 15 minute video titled "Where did Jesus say, "I am God, Worship Me?"
9) Surah 57:3 tells us Allah is the first and the last. In Revelation 22:13 Jesus told John he was the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and the Omega. So Jesus was saying he is God. In John 5:23a Jesus said, "That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father." How do we honour the Father? We honour the Father by worshipping him. So Jesus is saying we should also honour Him, the Son, by worshipping him.
10) Scripture identifies Jesus as God. Young's Literal Translation of the Bible
Genesis 17:24-18:33. Notice Jehovah visited Abraham appearing as a man. Genesis 18:1 says Jehovah appeareth unto him among the oaks of Mamre. Verse 2 says and he lifteth up his eyes and looketh, and lo, three men standing by him... Verse 14 says And Jehovah saith unto Abraham, "Why is this? Sarah hath laughed, saying, Is it true really -I bear- and I am aged? Is any thing too wonderful for Jehovah? at the appointed time I return unto thee, about the time of life, and Sarah hath a son." Verse 17 continues and Jehovah said, "Am I concealing from Abraham that which I am doing. Verse 20 And Jehovah saith, "The cry of Sodom and Gomorrah -because great; and their sin - because exceeding grievous: Verse 21 I go down now, and see whether according to its cry which is coming unto Me they have done completely - and if not - I know;" Verse 22 and the men turn from thence, and go towards Sodom; and Abraham is yet standing before Jehovah. Then Abraham asks Jehovah if there are fifty righteous in the city if He will spare it. Verse 25 says far be it from Thee; doth the Judge of all the earth not do justice?" Finally Abraham gets it down to if ten righteous are found in the city. Verse 33 says and Jehovah goeth on, when hath finished speaking unto Abraham. Now notice Genesis 19:24 And Jehovah hath rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Jehovah, from the heavens. Question: Who is the Jehovah on earth who rained upon Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Jehovah in heavens? Is it not Jesus on earth and the Father in heavens?
Isaiah 9:6-7a says For a Child hath been born to us, A Son hath been given to us. And the princely power is on his shoulder. And He doth call his name Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace. To the increase of the princely power, And of peace, there is no end. On the throne of David, and on his kingdom. Notice this child will be called Mighty God.
Zechariah 12:1,10 = Verse 1 The burden of a word of Jehovah on Israel. ... Verse 2 Lo, I am making Jerusalem a cup of reeling. To all the peoples round about. And also against Judah it is, In the siege against Jerusalem. Verse 3 And it hath come to pass, in that day, I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone to all the peoples. All loading it are - completely pressed down. And gathered against it have been all nations of the earth. Verse 10b And they have looked unto Me whom they pierced. To be fulfilled in Revelation 1:7. Lo, he doth come with the clouds, and see him shall every eye, even those who did pierce him..."
John 5:18 = The Jews wanted to kill Jesus because he also said that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.
John 8:57-59 = The Jews tried to stone Jesus because he said, Before Abraham was, I am.) They believed Jesus was claiming to be Jehovah God the "I AM" of Exodus 3:13-14.
Isaiah 44:6 = Jehovah the King of Israel, and his redeemer Jehovah of hosts says; I [am] the first, and I [am] the last; and beside me [there is] no God.) Revelation 1:8,11,17-18; 22:12-13,16 = Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last.
Isaiah 42:8 = Jehovah will not share his glory with another. John 17:5 = Jesus evidently had shared Jehovah's glory before the world was. For Jesus said, "And now, glority me, Thou Father, with Thyself, with the glory that I had before the world was, with Thee."
1st Timothy 3:16 = says God was manifested in flesh.
Isaiah 45:18,23 = Jehovah said that unto him every knee will bow, and every tongue shall swear. Philippians 2:10-11 says that every knee will bow to Jesus and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father].
Hebrews 1:8 = Jehovah said unto the Son, Thy throne, O God, [is] to the age of the age. This was a quote from Psalm 45:6.
In Mark 2:5-11 Jesus forgave a paralyzed man. The scribes reasoned he had committed blasphemy for only God can forgive sins. Jesus then told them what they were thinking and assured them he had the authority to forgive the paralyzed man's sins by healing him.
In Matthew 26:63-66 and Mark 14:62 Jesus told the High Priest he was the son of man who would come to the Ancient of Days and be seated on his right side. This was prophecied in Daniel 7:13-16. Daniel says to him is given dominion and glory, and a kingdom , and all peoples nations, and languages do serve him, his dominion is a dominion age-during, that passeth not away, and his kingdom that which is not destroyed. Psaml 110:1 said The affirmation of Jehovah to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand. Till I make thine enimies thy footstool." The High Priest and those with him, immediately concluded Jesus was committing blasphemy by making that claim. Matthew 26:63 And Jesus was silent. And the chief priest answering said to him, "I adjure thee, by the living God, that thou mayest say to us, if thou art the Christ- the Son of God." Verse 64 Jesus saith to him, "Thou has said; nevertheless I say to you, hereafter ye shall see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of the power, and coming upon the clouds of the heaven." Verse 65 Then the chief priest rent his garments, saying, - He hath spoken evil; what need have we yet of witnesses? lo, now ye heard his evil speaking; Verse 66 what think ye: and they answering said, "He is worthy of death." Why did the High Priest think that?
Here are some places in the Old Testament that prophecied the coming death and resurrection of the Messiah.
Psalm 16:10
Prophesied God would not leave his soul in Sheol, nor would God let His Holy one see corruption. Who is the Holy One that God will not leave in Sheol? What does it mean He will not let him see corruption? Remember Jesus's physical body did not decay. Acts 2:25-32 John 2:19-22
Psalm 22:1,6-18

Jesus quoted Psalm 22:1 while on the cross. Matthew 27:46. Psalm 22:7-8. The chief priest, scribes and elders fulfilled this prophecy when they unwittingly quoted it as they mocked Jesus. Matthew 27:41- 43. Psalm 22:14. What do you think happened to His bones when the soldiers dropped Jesus's cross into its hole? When the soldier thrust a spear into Jesus' side, blood and water came out indicating Jesus died with a broken heart. Why? John 19:34 Psalm 22:16 prophesied they would pierce His hands and His feet. Speaking of the end times in Zechariah 12:10 Jehovah (the LORD) said that in the future they would look on "ME" the one they had peirced. The hands and feet of Jesus were pierced when he was crucified. John 20:24-29 Psalm 22:18 prophesied they would divide His garments among themselves. But they would cast lots for His clothing. Fulfilled by soldiers. John 19:23-24
Isaiah 53:1-12
Verses 5,6,11 and 12 tell us He will be punished for our sins and He will bear our sins for us. Fulfilled by Jesus Romans 5:8 I Peter 2:24. Even though innocent when falsely accused He will not defend himself. Isaiah 53:7. Fulfilled Matthew 27:12-14. He will be killed. Isaiah 53:8. Fulfilled Matthew 27:50 He will die with the wicked. Isaiah 53:9. Fulfilled Matthew 27:38 But He will be with the rich at his death. Isaiah 53:9. Fulfilled Matthew 27:57-60 He was buried in a rich man's tomb. Even though He will be cut off from the land of the living He shall see His seed and prolong His days. Isaiah 53:10 Jesus conquered death and physically rose from the tomb alive! Those who believe in Jesus and follow him are his descendants. Matthew 28:5-6 Galatians 3:26-29.
The next paragraph quotes almost every place in the New Testament the phase son of god appears.
Matthew 4:3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. Jhn 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. Romans 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: 2 Corinthians 1:19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea. Revelation 2:18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; Note: the above quotes were from the King James Version of the Bible.
9) Did you know, the Bible foretold the dispersal and later regathering of the Jews from all nations. It says Jehovah will defeat all their enemies, in the end times. The Bible even lists many of their enemies. Read the following chapters in the Bible to see what nations Jehovah says he will defeat. Ezekiel 37, 38, 39. Zechariah 12, 14. Joel 3. Psalms 83. Revelation 1, 16, 17, 18, 19. Daniel 7. What is the religion of these nations the Bible says will war against the Jews and be defeated by Jehovah?
10) Did you know, the truth has nothing to fear? The more you question, study and examine the truth, the more you will see it is the truth. But the more you question, study and examine a lie the more you will see it is not the truth. I challenge you to read the Gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John which contain the life and words of Jesus. Why not? What can it hurt? Read the Gospels in the Bible, in the New Testament for yourself. Then you will know for yourself what they say. Lee Strobel a legal journalist and atheist set out to prove Jesus did not rise from the tomb alive. This is his testimony and how one can have a close relationship with Jesus.
